EMERON FOUNDATION HOSPITAL Dr Emmanuel Nkwogu and his staff at Uche Chukwu Hospital Ogbaku had been providing good and affordable health care services to the rural and poor people of Ogbaku and it's environs in Imo State of Nigeria, for many years. Many of the times these services were totally free -of-charge, particularly for the indigent patients. He eventually incorporated the Emeron Foundation under part "C" of the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990 in Abuja, Nigeria in 2009; to help him continue to provide health care services to the rural and poor community of Ogbaku and its environs. The Emeron Foundation (a public foundation) is a Non-profit Health Care Organization with it's headquarters at Owerri in Imo State of Nigeria. It has the main aim of reducing the imbalance in health care delivery among the rural and poor people of Ogbaku and it's environs ( which include these communities: Orogwe, Irette, Ohii, Amakohia-Ubi, Ndegwu, Agwa, Ejemekwuru, Izombe, Akabor, Awa, Ifakala, Umunoha, and Eziama-Obi-Ato). These communities and sub-communities have a total population of 192,387 (2006 census). The average annual income (USD) here is $250. The reactivation and expansion of the original Uche Chukwu Hospital to a Non-profit Emeron Foundation Hospital is one of the major instruments Emeron Foundation will use to accomplish its main objective of providing good and affordable health care services to the people served. |
